Cork Autograss Racing Club were in Castletownbere on Sunday last to promote the sport.

Cork Autograss was formed in 1998 from the West Cork Hotrod club. The club has raced at there Castletown Kennigh track since then with many improvements in surfaces and a major track extension carried out in 2010 in conjunction with Castletown Celtic football club whos pitch is the centre of the track. Autograss Racing is motor racing on loose surface track with anything from near road spec 1000cc hatchbacks to full space framed saloons with engines varying from large v8's to twin bike powered and even the odd turbo diesel. This sport caters for both male and female competitors from the age of 12 upwards. If you would like to find out more don't hesitate to ask!
